Brian Hendrickson was born in Florida, but raised in the rural areas around Crawfordsville, Indiana. He started drawing at a very young age and continued to do so despite all attempts to interest him in other activities. He inevitably went to art school and subsequently to arts-related jobs.
He has worked as an illustrator for
The Indianapolis Star, a courtroom artist for WISH TV, an animator for the video game industry, a writer and cartoonist for
Fishheads Magazine, and in various roles in web applications development.
His focus on landscape painting draws heavily on his childhood memories of wandering the wooded areas of Indiana's Montgomery County and his love for traveling into other untamed regions. His aim is to capture and communicate the mystery and beauty that he finds in the wild while always exploring ever farther.
Brian, his wife, and daughter are currently traveling around the United States. They were last seen roaming the Pacific Northwest with a couple of overweight cats and a buggy-eyed dog.
